Table Shiatsu

Certificate Program

Shiatsu originally was practiced by blind women; their sense of touch was so acute that clients would receive major results in just one session. Table Shiatsu is based on the same theory as the oriental art of Acupressure. Both use thumb or finger pressure on specific points on the meridian called a Tsubo to balance the body.

For in class students; this is an accelerated Table Shiatsu courseprogram. You can e-mail us to see if we have room for part time studies or you can take this program by correspondence and complete it in six months.

The Japanese word Shiatsu is composed of 'shi' meaning finger and 'atsu' meaning pressure.

This is not a massage and is done with the clients clothes on.
