Q- Is the school accredited?
A- Yes, our accreditation # is 2562. To check out our school with the BC government please go to www.pctia.bc.ca

Q- Can I work in my province or country after completing the certificate or diploma courses?
A-
Yes, you can work. The government requires that you need a certificate or a diploma to be able to get a business license or insurance. To date; we have graduated students all over the world working with our certificates and diplomas.

Q- Will I be a registered massage therapist?
A-
No.  We are not training students to be able to treat any specific problem. Our students are learning either Spa pampering sessions and/or Wholistic/Natural Healing sessions using a combination of modalities for Body Balancing.

Q- What association do I have to join?
A- None.  It is not a legal requirement that you have to join any association, though many students do join to be affiliated with like minded people for networking and fellowship.  Many associations also offer continuing education and trade shows. Many of these same associations also stand behind the practitioners' rights to continue their studies.  Please go to our links page to view the associations we are connected with. http://www.naturalhealthcollege.com/resources.php

Q- What wage can I expect?
A- The diploma students seem to receive the best wages due to the fact that they have more modalities / techniques that they can perform. Wages go anywhere from $9.00 / hour to 50% of the session price plus tips. With the individual certificate courses, students can get paid the same but may not be hired as fast or might not get a full time job.  Many businesses are looking for an employee who can multi-task.

Q- What are my payment options?
A- Correspondence/distant education- The registration fee is due on the day you sign up for any course or program. It is $25.00/course to a maximum of $150.00. You pay per course at the time of registration. Only one or two courses are sent out at a time in any program.

Some of the Canadian provinces allow you to have a student loan by correspondence.

In class- The registration fee is due on the day you sign up for any course or program. This will also hold your seat when taking an in-class course. It is $25.00/course to a maximum of $150.00.  Students taking in-class courses must pay in full on first day of class.

We are accredited, so students with bursaries, passport to education or grants from high school can use that funding.
Check your local Bank for student loans that are offered.
HRSDC (E.I), Work safe and First Nations or Métis, fund for Skills Development; many students in the past have received a grant; money for tuition, supplies, lodging and travel. Check locally if you are eligible.

Q- What course should I start with?
A- If working towards a certificate or diploma, suggestion is to start with the course that most interests you.

However, the Introduction to Anatomy/Physiology, Business and Pathology course, all exams, homework and case studies have to be completed before any certificate will be issued. Most students working towards a diploma work on the certificate courses first so that they can receive certificates along the way.

Q- Any price difference if I take all the courses at once?
A-
No. Tuition is the same price all at once, individually, in-class or by correspondence.

Q-How long do I have to finish the courses?
A- The duration varies from one month up to eight months depending on the course.

Q- How long does the diploma program take by correspondence?
A-
Every student is different. 1 ˝ - 2 years would be expected. Our in-class students come from 9:00am - 4:00pm, Monday – Friday for four months.  They spend an extra 15-20 hrs/week on their homework and case studies. We have many correspondence students who are very busy with working full time and taking care of their children. They have been taking courses slowly and working towards their Diplomas over many years.  We do not care how long it takes you or if you need a holiday in between courses as long as each individual course is finished on time.

Q- What if I have some of the courses already?
A- Great!  Send in a copy of your certificate, course outline and transcript.  As long as the course is to our standards or better you will not have to take it again and it will get deducted off of the program price.

Q- Do I have a choice of taking the courses in-class or by correspondence?
A-
Yes, We offer the courses both ways. In-class, the courses are offered at specific times. If there is room we do allow part time students to take the in class courses. Most of the courses are offered by correspondence; in book and video format.

Q- Do I need a student visa to study these courses in class in Canada?
A-
No, you do not need a Study Permit if you are planning to take a course or program in Canada with duration of six months or less. You must complete the course or program within the period authorized for your stay in Canada.
