Ogopogo has in the past decade attracted television crews from around the world, inspired countless authors and fired the imagination of dozens of young artists.
The natives who settled this land called him "N'haitik", meaning 'monster of the lake'. Gifts were carried to appease him whenever they had to make a crossing of the lake, and travelers were happiest when he was not sighted!
